1. पाय खड़ाऊ राम की, आनिस नंदी ग्राम ।

करिस तपस्या आन के, धन्य भरत सुखधाम ।।

हिन्दी में भावार्थ ― उक्त दोहे में कवि रामायण कथा के एक प्रसंग का वर्णन करते हुए कहते हैं कि जब श्री भरत जी के बारंबार आग्रह करने पर भी श्री राम जी अयोध्या नहीं लौटे तब भरत जी ने श्री राम जी की खड़ाऊँ को नंदीग्राम ले आया और वहीं पर उन्होंने तपस्या भी की। ऐसे भाई भरत जी धन्य है जो सुख के धाम हैं।

अंग्रेजी में भावार्थ ― In the above couplet, the poet describes an episode of the Ramayana story and says that when Shri Ram Ji did not return to Ayodhya despite repeated requests by Shri Bharat Ji, then Bharat Ji brought Shri Ram Ji's wooden sandals to Nandigram and he also performed penance there. Blessed is Bharat Ji who has such a brother who is the abode of happiness.

2. सकल रिषि मुनि सन्यासी, करत जगत कल्यान ।

लकड़ खड़ाऊ पाय की, कर लेने सनमान ।।

हिन्दी में भावार्थ ― उक्त दोहे में महात्माओं के की कृपा का बखान करते हुए कवि कहते हैं कि सभी ऋषि, मुनि और सन्यासीगण सदैव इस जगत का कल्याण करते हैं। इस तरह उनके चरणों की लकड़ी की खड़ाऊ निश्चित ही सम्मान योग्य अर्थात पूजनीय हैं।

अंग्रेजी में भावार्थ ― In the above couplet, while describing the kindness of the great souls, the poet says that all the sages, saints and hermits always do the welfare of this world. In this way, the wooden sandals on their feet are definitely worthy of respect i.e. worship.

3. पादत्राण पदपादुका, एक खड़ऊ नाव ।

लकड़ी इनकी किमती, करने नहीं दुराव ।।

हिन्दी में भावार्थ ― उक्त दोहे में कवि बताते हैं कि ऋषियों, मुनियों, सन्यासियों आदि तपस्वियों के द्वारा पैरों में पहनी जाने वाली को पदत्राण, चरणपादुका के नाम से जाना जाता है। इनका एक नाम खड़ाऊँ भी है। इन चरणपादुकाओं की लकड़ी बहुत ही मूल्यवान  होती है। हमें इन ऋषि-मुनियों की चरण पादुकाओं का तिरस्कार नहीं करना चाहिए।

अंग्रेजी में भावार्थ ― In the above couplet, the poet tells that the footwear worn by sages, munis, ascetics etc. is known as footwear. Another name for these is wooden sandals. The wood of these footwear is very valuable. We should not despise the footwear of these sages and munis.
